Intelligent Cross Sell for Yahoo Stores
Finally a smart cross-sell / related-items application!
The Intelligent Cross-Sell enhancement for Yahoo stores automatically populates your cross-sell area.
The cross sell feature grabs the first 4 words in your product name (default is 4 but can be more or less), then finds all items in your store that have a certain number of those matching words in their first several words (can be whatever number you want eg: 3 out of 4). If the found item has enough matching words in its name, then the found item displays as a cross sell item.
Example: Item page named: "Your store wizards cross sell"
- Intelligent Cross-sell is installed to look at the first 4 words.
- You set how many words in the target items Intelligent Cross-sell needs to find. (EG: item has 3 out of 4 matching words)
- You set how many words the Intelligent Cross-sell will sift through in the target items. (EG: Look through the first 15 words).
- The Intelligent Cross-sell searches and finds any item with 3 of the 4 words in the first 15 words of its title and displays it as a cross-sell item.
In this example anything with "Your Store Wizards", "your store cross", "your wizards cross", etc. would show up.
If no "smart" matches are found, the Intelligent Cross-sell feature defaults to use items in the same section. You may manually insert defaults to use if no "smart" matches come up.
