Need to copy your entire store to a new store? We can copy as much or as little of your store as you'd like. Your Store Wizards will copy your item data, graphics, custom templates, variables and site settings, or any combination of these.
Even with the EXACT CLONE option, you will likely need to change old URL references on the new copy of the store. Just choose the update URL option and we'll do it for you. This includes updating your RTML and HTML references plus your variables and product captions. We'll also change image and file references to the new store's "lib" files.
We can also create a Microsoft Access database with your data so you can use a database upload in the future to update your site, and we also will set up your new store using a custom item type and template so that future enhancements to the store are VERY easy to add.
If you need to copy an entire store, or just the data, there is no easier solution and most stores are copied within approximately 48-72 hours.
Helpful info...
- You will notice the most economical option is to copy your entire store because partial copies involve extra programming and maintenance. Also, if you have over 500 items in your store, partial copy work is subject to an extra $50 charge per 500 items copied after the first 500.
- Copying to a Merchant Solutions store from a non-Merchant Solutions store will involve additional costs if your products do not all contain unique item codes.
- On Merchant Solutions stores we copy the variables and can send you the files from the files section. You will need to upload the files to your "new" store's hosting side.
- If your templates have hard coded file locations or URLs, you will need to modify those after the site is copied. We can help here if needed.
- Please note copied stores will include "basic" Yahoo! functionality. We will happily troubleshoot outside customization for an additional fee.
- Any Y Store Tools/Your Store Wizards RTML templates being copied to another store will be assessed a nominal licensing fee. Other custom RTML is copied on the assumption the store owner has obtained permissions from the author(s).
- Copying from a VERSION 2 editor to a VERSION 3 editor involves a LOT of additional programming because the RTML and variables are not uniformly compatible. Additional charges will apply.
