Google Data Feed Cleanup - Feed Error Fixer

Google changed their product feed specifications recently and the latest round of changes probably impacts YOU.  Your Store Wizards has Google's latest feed specifications and we've adjusted our feed format to meet these new specs.

Look out for new errors in your Google merchant account due to these new specs including but not limited to...

• Exceed Character Limits.
• Long Titles.
• duplicate data for ID or MPN.

The biggest areas of concern on this round of changes pertain to the CHARACTER LIMITS on certain fields in the Google data feed.

• color
• title
• description
• product type
• Link
• Brand
• GTIN
• Pattern
• Size
• Material
• Custom_label_0 thru 4
• ID
• Item_group_id
• MPN

The most troublesome fields are ID and MPN. When a merchant has very long page IDs, Google's new limit on the number of characters presents a problem because simply truncating the ID can result in duplicate IDs for different items.
